OK I am here for a moan - I drive and consider myself to be quite a courteous road user. Over the last week when I have let people out of junctions, stopped to let them through a tight parking situation or generally been a thoughtful and careful driver NOT ONCE and I mean NOT ONCE has a hand been put up in appreciation of my gesture. I am not asking to bunting to be displayed or fireworks to be set off - just a polite hand raised in appreciation. If you are one of those people that I have encountered around Cotgrave, shame on you te he. You will be pleased to know, my rant is now over. | |||||

I actually find that most people do acknowledge a courteous act but then I have also met the same type of driver as you.Hope this moan doesn't stop you being courteous.

Talking of cyclists, I was driving up Ringleas last night and two young people on bikes were coming down the middle of the road with no lights on. I stopped dead and how i missed them I will never know but no doubt if I had cleaned them up it would have been my fault. I have had to avoid cyclists many times who think they are invincible.

Cyclists on the road instead of the pavement??? Surely not.
