It is requested that the paper detailing the comments made by residents and councillors regarding the proposed development on the old colliery site be made available to the public.

It is not obtainable from Rushcliffe Planning Departgment and it is felt that the public have a right to be aware of the contents of the submission.

As I recall Councillor Shaw - you have had a copy of the minute book for nearly 2 weeks now, so I am frankly surprised you are not aware that you already are in possession of the information you request.

The minute book is also on display at Cotgrave Library and Cotgrave Futures and is accessible on the town council`s web site.

At the council meeting held on 7th July which you attended, the Chairman requested that the notes from the public consulation held on 18th May be distributed with the next set of papers.

I am also aware that you requested copies of the notes of that same meeting from the Planning Officer and she will release them on request

I ask could the submission of councillors' and residents' comments that have been submitted by the clerk to RBC could be made public to give confidence to the people of Cotgrave that their protest has been fairly represented to the Borough.

We seem to be at cross purposes. I have the minutes of the 19th May meeting, and the minutes to which you refer are, I believe, 1640 to 1654.

I asked relative to minute 1655 that states - 'It was noted that the Clerk undertook to send a summary of the Councillors' comments and of the residents at the consultation event to the Planning Officer' - if the submission could be published thus advising the residents exactly what had been put to the Planning Officer.

Could I ask the Clerk or her assistant or any member of the council to answer my question please?

I'm sorry but much of this thread seems to be personal. Could we have a clear link to the pertinent records, please?

Hiya

I just thought I'd recommend a good site I've been using, that helps people get information under the Freedom of Information Act. If you are getting no response from the Council (as you don't seem to be), you might like to try sending an FOI request through What Do They Know? available at: http://www.whatdotheyknow.com.

FOI requests are published on the site, so if the Town Council continue to refuse to respond to your queries, the whole world will know about it, won't they?

Hope that helps.

Very best Penny
